There will be a variety of items: Jewelry, black ash baskets, corn husk dolls, porcelain masks, Christmas ornaments, and Native made lotion, soap, candles, and body wash. FREE Event. Donations welcome.
Wigwam - Nokomis is pleased to announce that we will be breaking ground in the Spring for our new addition to our education programs. We are building a wigwam (dome-shaped structure) in the old way. The wigwam will be constructed out of saplings, cattail mats, and bark. If you are interested in helping out, please come on Tuesday evenings during Craft Night. We will be working on the cattail mats the entire winter.
Tuesday evenings from 6:00PM to 9:00PM
Do you have craft projects that you're working on, but you're looking to get out of the house and make some new friends? Are you interested in learning more about how to do beadwork, quilting, or another craft? Then you should join us for craft night. Every Tuesday night from 6-9 pm, the center is open for crafters. Experiences crafters will be on hand if you need help starting a new project. Everyone is welcome.
